She is responsible for supplier/member matchmaking and supplier development. Carol has over ten years’ experience in various aspects of procurement and supplier development – from learning how to respond effectively to an ITT to working with public organisations to help them become more small business friendly. Initially, she worked in business development for a small recruitment advertising agency where she focussed on writing bids for the public and commercial sectors. As part of the LDA-funded Supply London team, she became increasingly involved with developing the supplier diversity agenda, working with both corporates and SMEs to bridge the gaps which prevented them doing business together. Passionate about developing small businesses and recognising the importance of credibility when approaching large buying organisations, she set up TEDs Friend to provide a specialist support service to forward-looking suppliers.
