Supplier Diversity Europe (SDE) is a ground breaking project that is concerned with fostering co-operation among multi-nationals, large companies, public organisations, SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) and diverse and under-represented businesses, in order to develop dynamic and effective procurement programmes in Europe. Supplier diversity helps large companies to effectively target SMEs and, within these, under-represented and diverse businesses in order to gain business benefits including increased market share. These businesses include, but are not limited to; SMEs which are 51% owned and managed by ethnic minorities, women, disabled people, and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people. | Supplier diversity is increasingly important in the European context and a challenging economic climate. By broadening the diversity of their supply base, companies can gain access to new ideas, increase competition, receive better value for money and best serve and reflect the customers and communities they work with. In short, supplier diversity makes great business sense and also has significant social benefits.
SDE currently operates in the UK and France, and is expanding into Germany, the Netherlands and other parts of Europe.
SDE is a programme of MPG. MPG is an independent, not for profit ‘think and ‘tank based in Brussels with a track record in developing and implementing diversity and equality related activities. | Supplier Diversity Europe (SDE) Accreditation SDE have recently launched an exciting new initiative and we have a special introductory offer of 50% discount to accompany i!
